There are two technical tours in the morning of December 8-9.

1. Haikou Power Supply Bureau Lamp Museum

On March 21, 2018, the Haikou Power Supply Bureau Lamp Museum opened for the first time after half a year of preparation. The museum displays nearly 1,000 lamps donated by Wang Fuhe, a retired employee of the bureau.

The lamps date back to the Han, Tang, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Republic of China, the early years of the PRC, and other historical periods. They were made of jade, stone, ceramics, bronze, iron, silver, wood, cow horns and other materials. Some of them were intended to be put on a surface, others to be carried on a walk, and still others to be hung from the ceiling or on the wall.

The centerpiece of the museum is a heart-shaped lamp used for sea travel. Other treasures include Hainan’s typical frog-shaped lamp that represents the wish for new additions to the family, a precious oil lamp of the Tang-Song era, the province’s first electric lamp, and other objects with great significance.

By building this museum, Haikou Power Supply Bureau was able to explore local history, uphold traditional values, and create a cultural brand that brings together a bunch of go-getters. The museum laid the foundation for the bureau’s goal of building one of China’s best power supply companies in 2018. More importantly, it serves as a bridge between power development and civilizational progress.

2. Hainan Free Trade Port Power Business Environment Haikou Experience Center
